Bandicam is a powerful screen recorder that can capture videos and images with ease.
If you need a program that can capture your screen as videos or images, then Bandicam is a superb option that provides stiff competition to programs like Fraps and the Xbox app. This program works on your desktop while you are working with another application or playing a game in full screen. It works with both DirectX and OpenGL and serves as a game overlay that you can use to monitor frames per second.
Bandicam also supports a wide range of file formats and video and audio codecs. You can record video using either an AVI or MP4 container, and codec support includes H.264, Xvid and MPEG-4/1. Audio, on the other hand, can be MP2, AAC or PCM. The program supports up to 120 frame rates, and you can even set the FPS. Bandicam can record 4K Ultra HD video in resolutions as high as 3840 x 2160. You can upload your captured videos to YouTube in either 1080p or 720p without making any additional conversion.
Bandicam captures your entire screen by default, but you can also resize the capture area. You can either resize it manually or choose from a number of presets for 4:3, 16:9 and 21:9. You can manipulate screenshots in the same way. You can output screenshots to BMP, PNG and JPEG, and you can take them one at a time, or simply set Bandicam to create a continuous series of screenshots that you can peruse later.
The program also comes with superb support. There’s a built-in help system. The developers are also active on their website forums, and the website includes a slew of video tutorials that visually give assistance using real-world challenges to explore program concepts.
Bandicam is free to use as an unregistered product. Registration requires you to purchase the software. The unregistered version of Bandicam is full-featured, but there are some limitations. The software places a Bandicam watermark on all videos and screenshots as well as a 10-minute limit per video.
